Flow-Mon is a successful Harrogate based manufacturer of specialist flow instruments providing solutions for flow management and plant protection for heavy industrial applications. We are a small family owned business looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Purchase/Supply Clerk to join our busy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business based in central Harrogate. Purchase/Supply Clerk Main Duties: Purchasing and maintaining sufficient stock to fulfil the factory production schedule against projected targets. Manage suppliers to ensure the effective supply of materiel and services delivered are correct to specification, schedule and at minimum cost. Maintain accurate records and provide material traceability from purchase order to invoice. You will report to the Commercial Manager and will receive on the job training as required. Your time will be split between the physical aspect of stock management in the factory and the administrative work in the office required in support. This will be a busy and varied role with the opportunity to develop in line with the growth of the Company. Responsibilities: • Raise purchase orders for materials, parts and tooling in a timely and accurate manner. • Maintain stock levels and inventory management. • Supplier relationship management. • Providing supporting documentation in support of all orders. • Maintaining stock ledgers including stock projection & forecast, order history. • Issue demand forecasts to suppliers to support supply projection plan. • Record and report non-conforming parts in accordance with the quality management system. • Assisting with other Company and Group related activity as and when required. Skills/Experience: • Good communication and written skills. • Competent with MS Office, excellent Excel skills • Able to integrate well into a team and work independently. • A strong work ethic and a positive/pro-active attitude to work. • Ability to prioritise and organise/manage several tasks concurrently. • Knowledge of Sage 50 Cloud is beneficial but not essential. • Previous experience in a supply chain / logistics environment would be advantageous however, training may be provided for the right candidate. (CIPS procurement and supply) • Elements of this job are physically demanding (loading/unloading material) and the applicant must be capable of manual handling tasks. Hours: Full time (39 hours). Monday to Thursday 0730 – 1630, Friday 0730 – 1230. Salary: £18,000 - £22,000+ (pro-rata) negotiable depending on experience. Holidays: 25 days plus bank holidays.
